Visitors from the Faroe Islands and Finland

From March 28 to April 5, we hosted visitors from the Faroe Islands and Finland at Sæmundarskóli. We are collaborating with them on a Nordplus project called "Closer to Nature."
Our students organized several activities for our guests throughout the week. During school hours, they engaged in team-building activities, toured the Golden Circle, enjoyed a barbecue and recreation time in Haukadalsskógur forest, visited MUU in Gufunes, baked together, explored downtown, and spent time in Fjölnir's gymnastics facility.
In their free time, they went bowling, dined at KFC, and made three visits to Plútó. The group also experienced Flyover Iceland, attended the Lava Show at Harpa, and toured Perlan.
The week proved highly enjoyable, and our students are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this project and connect with peers from other countries in such a meaningful way.
They eagerly anticipate reuniting next school year when they will have the chance to visit their new friends abroad.
