Fall information sessions

Fall information sessions for parents began last week. The week started with Wednesday's "soup evening" for parents of first-grade students, who received an overview of what to expect as their child begins primary school.

On Friday, parents of children in grades 2-4 met with Sigrún Jónína from MML, who spoke to them about the importance of reading and literacy. This week, parents of fifth and sixth graders will attend a similar session on literacy, and seventh-grade students and their parents will meet for a discussion led by KVAN.

Next week, another discussion is scheduled for parents and students in sixth grade.

Finally, on Friday, Sept. 19, parents of students in grades 8-10 are invited to an information session on educational assessment and competency-based learning.
