Peace gathering for teens
On December 18, upper primary school students, their guardians and staff had a peace gathering in Sæmundarsel before starting Christmas break. The time together was characterized by peace and friendship with hot chocolate, cookies and almonds available. Bryndís Kara and Rósar, student council representatives, welcomed everyone and Hlynur Atli read a text about the Christmas truce in World War I. Guests then sang together and sent light rays out into the darkness, hoping their call for peace would be heard around the world.
