School closing ceremony in beautiful weather

Sæmundarskóli held its school closing ceremony today. Students and parents met with their homeroom teachers in the classroom before heading to the hall, where the school choir performed several songs ahead of Principal Eygló officially closing out the school year. 

The ceremony wrapped up with a celebration on the school grounds, where the 9th graders took center stage and made sure everyone headed into summer break in good spirits — with live music, bouncy castles, face painting, ice cream, and hot dogs.

School resumes Aug. 24, and Sæmundarskóli will mark its 20th anniversary in the coming school year — something we're already looking forward to.
