Visit to Kyndill
Several 7th-grade boys visited the youth division of the Kyndill Search and Rescue Team in Mosfellsbær on April 9th The trip was organized as part of their chosen outdoor education workshops.
During the visit, they participated in a variety of engaging activities. The students ran through role-playing scenarios to identify different injuries and practice their response. This hands-on training sparked widespread interest and proved both educational and enjoyable. Additional games and exercises tested their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
The group also headed outdoors to experience conditions similar to real search and rescue operations.
The team's youth division is open to children and teens ages 13 (8th grade) to 18. All children are welcome, and participation is free. Practices take place on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Attendees should dress for the weather, as sessions sometimes take place outdoors.
